Gary Rogers “Griff” Griffin, Sr., age 73 passed away on January 6, 2022. He was a native of Lockport and a resident of Montegut.

Gary is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Janice Foret Griffin; son, Gary Rogers Griffin, Jr., (Barbara); daughter, Phillis Duke (Kenneth), Sherry Dupre (Danny); Brother, Nelson (Lydia) Griffin; sister, Lenora Ray; grandchildren, Gary Rogers Griffin, III, Brandi Griffin, Mallory Griffin, Scotty Miguez, Lindsey Dupre, Harli Melancon, Neil Chauvin; great grandson, Danny Chauvin; mother-in-law, Virginia Dupre Foret.
Gary is preceded in death by father, Bruce Griffin, Sr.; mother, Leah Hartman Griffin; brothers, James Griffin, Bruce Griffin, Jr.; sister, Margaret Danos; father-in-law, Ilmis Foret.
Gary was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Gary was a Superintendent of Offshore Specialty/ McDermott for many years until his retirement. He loved watching wrestling, football, fishing, and tending to his yard. Anyone who knew Gary, knew he loved John Deere cutting his grass. He adored his family and was always joking around with them. Gary had an amazing personality and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Gary leaves a beautiful family behind to be reunited to be with his family who passed before him. He now rests in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
