General Grandison Smith, 81, a native and resident of Houma, LA passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 17, 2022.
Visitation and funeral services will be observed from 9:00 AM until funeral time at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at New Zion Baptist Church 263 Grand Caillou Road., Houma, LA 70363. Burial will follow at Mechanicville Emmanuel Cemetery.
Memories of General will forever remain in the hearts of his sons, Rayshawn Mart, Kennard, Jarvis Davis, LaRonce, Darrick Jones, Randall Jules, Adopted son, London Alfred. Daughters, Saundra Dee Smith and Danielle Davis. Twenty -six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
General was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Matthews Smith. Parents, Maude Smith and Albirtha Campbell Smith. Brothers, Norris Smith, Thomas Edison Smith, Daniel Smith, John Calvin Smith, Fred Smith, Sr., and sister, Dorothy Smith Hite.
