Glenda Lovell Verdin, age 70,  passed away Monday, November 29, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was a native and longtime resident of Theriot.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Chauvin Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will continue Friday, December 3, 2021, at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Eloi Cemetery.

Glenda is survived by her husband of 52 years, Paul “ Pookie” Verdin; son, Tyron “ReddDogg” Verdin (Martha); brother, Bradford “Brat” Lovell; sisters, Patricia “Pat” Blackwell, Carol Bergeron, Linda Pierre.


Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Vincent Lovell and Nora DeHart Lovell; brothers, Atlas Lovell, Paul Lovell, Leroy Lovell, L.J. Lovell; sisters, Eula Mae Lovell, Annie Mae Theriot, Ruth Lovell, Jacintha “Cinthy” Romero, Dolores “Glo” LaCoste, Ruby DeHart, Mavis “MaeMae” Schexnayder.

Glenda was a loving wife, mother, and friend. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, going to church, and above all spending time and caring for her family. Glenda was a strong-willed and caring person, who always put others above herself. Glenda loved all her dogs, Suzie, Lucky, Prissy, Rascal, Jessie, and Remi. She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
