September 20, 1942 – August 6, 2020

 

Gordon Michael Landry, Sr., age 77, passed away on August 6, 2020. He was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Houma, LA.


Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Gloria Call Landry; sons, Lee P. Landry and wife, Donna, Brett M. Landry and wife, Dayna, Craig J. Landry and wife, Leslie, Ronnie L. Landry, and Gordon M. Landry, Jr and wife, Kim; sisters, Patricia L. Armand and husband, Darwin, Loretta L. Hetherwick and husband, Charles, and Arlene Landry and husband, Harry; 10 grandchildren.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan Julius and Ruby Marie Sevier Landry; brother, Donald Landry and wife, Judy.

Gordon was the president of Coastal Rehabilitation and counseling, Inc.  He was a former member and officer Houma Terrebonne Jaycees and a recipient Jaycee of the year’s award, Houma Kiwanis Club and recipient of Kiwanian award, and Walter F. Zeller award, former president of the Holy Rosary CYO, and awarded as an outstanding Supervisor for Social Security Administration, board member of the South Central La. Mental Health and board member of the Houma Terrebonne Housing Authority.  He enjoyed reading, listening to music, and participating in volunteer activities. Gordon took immense pride in raising $50,000 with Kiwanis Club internationally for S. Louisiana schools after hurricane Katrina.


A private memorial will be held at a later date.
