John is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Linda Portier Tauzin; daughter, Traci Tauzin Guidry (Colin); grandchildren, Hayden, Brady, and Lucy Guidry; step-daughters, Rebecca Fanguy Loupe (Jason) and Terri Lynn Fanguy Adkins (Cliffton); grandchildren, Caleb and Austin Loupe, and Matthew and Mandi Adkins; great-grandchildren, Emma and Josie Adkins; brothers, Donald Tauzin and Tony Tauzin (Dolly); and sisters, Marilyn Tauzin Breaux (Aaron) and Linda Tauzin LeBlanc (Curtis).

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Gladys Tauzin; and step-grandson, Cullen Loupe.

John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to everyone. John graduated from Nicholls State University in 1965 and worked for the state for 35 years as the Regional Manager of Vocational Rehab. After retirement, he couldn’t stay still for long and began working for Star Bingo Supplies which introduced him to even more people.  He was always telling jokes when he wasn’t reading or riding bikes. You could find John cheering on the Saints, watching horse racing, traveling the world, and planning his next adventure with his grandchildren. He was a Pancreatic Cancer survivor and showed his strength and courage throughout the fight. John will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to thank Heart of Hospice, Home Instead, and especially Amy Kirkland Guidry for all the wonderful care and making John’s last wishes possible.
