December 23, 1946 – January 5, 2021

Julia Ann White, 74, a native of Houma and a resident of Broussard passed away on January 5, 2021 at 10:31pm at her home surrounded by her family.


Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, January 11 from 11am to 1pm at Bayou Blue United Methodist Church on Lake Long Drive. A memorial service will immediately follow.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Enis J. White, Jr., her daughters, Jill Hartzog Bergeron and her husband, Jason; Jenine Hartzog Bergeron and her husband, Bart; her step-son Jeremy White and his wife, Edie; her brother, David Yelverton; her sister-in-law, Debbie Yelverton; and five grandchildren: Jordan and her husband Nick, Cullen, Jenna, Lindsey, and Colby.

She was preceded in death by her father, Brealon Wilco Yelverton; her mother, Irene Arceneaux Yelverton Meadows; two step-fathers, William Tyree and Theodore “Ted” Meadows; and her brother Robert “Bobby” Yelverton.
Julia graduated from South Terrebonne High School in 1964. She enjoyed traveling, fishing, shopping, crafts, and arranging fresh flowers. In 1996, she and Enis opened Julia’s Cajun Country Bed & Breakfast. They welcomed hundreds of guests from all over the world. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
