June Babin Bergeron, 82, a native of New Orleans, La, a former resident of Houma, La.


Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Chauvin Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and continue on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Chauvin Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.

June is survived by sons Ronald Lenain (Rhonda), and Ernest “Ernie” Bergeron (Peggy), grandchildren Angie Authement (Greg), Allen G. LeBlanc, Wilfred “Freddie” LeBlanc (Lisa), Brook Lirette (Todd), Christie Breaux, Donna Riche, April Pierre (Chad), Robert Riche (Bethany), twenty-three great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and her last surviving sibling, Joan Pellegrin.

June was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Sherrill Bergeron, husband Hervis “Happy” Lenain, parents Glaise and Rose Thibodeaux Babin, father and mother-in-law Ivy L. and Marceline Dubois Bergeron, son Allen J. Leblanc Jr. (Barbara), brothers Glaise J., Joseph, Francis (Rosemarie), Lloyd, Curtis (Eartha) Babin, sisters Pearl Lambert, Rea (J.C.) Chaisson, Nell (Albert LeBeouf, Flemin) Voisin, Rose (Roland) Gautreaux, Shirley Mae Babin, Elise Babin, brother-in-law Anthony “Moneg” Pellegrin, granddaughter Lea Breaux, and great-grandson Trevor Blanchard.


She was a parishioner of St. Lucy Catholic Church and a longtime Eucharistic Minister. She was known as a loving and devoted caregiver. Her door was always open to visitors, short or long term. She was a devoted Saints and LSU fan.
