Lawrence Joseph Hebert Jr., 74, a native and a resident of Houma, passed away on September 14, 2019.
A visitation will be held in his honor on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Houma from 9:00AM until funeral time. A religious service will take place at 11:00AM at the church.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Montgomery Hebert; son, James "Jimmy" Hebert (Michelle), Michael McLelland; daughter, Elizabeth Newman (Gil), Martha Hofstetter (Orray) and Jeanette Naquin (Michael); brother, Gene Hebert (Meril), Floyd Hebert (Joan) and Gilbert Hebert (Rhonda); sister-in-law, Pam Hebert; grand-children, Paisley and Lacey Hebert, Aaron and Jeremy Dennis, Lindon Davis (Lisa), Stefan and Zachary Newman, Cain McLelland, Brennan, Elise, and Peyton Naquin; great-grandchildren, Logan and Leighton Davis.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence J. Hebert Sr. and Eula Lambert Hebert; brother, Donald Hebert.
Sonny was a member of First Baptist Church of Houma. He was a retired Sheriff’s Deputy for Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Department. He was a former volunteer for Terrebonne’s Camp Bluebird. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and motorcyclist. He was a friend to all. His greatest love was his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center OR First Baptist Church of Houma MISSIONS.
