Lea Pitfield Andrews, 68, a native of New Orleans and resident of Gray, was called to her eternal home on Saturday, December 4, 2021.

Lea was born November 16, 1953, to the late Howard and Dorothy Untereiner Pitfield.


Lea Leaves behind her dear husband, Lester Andrews, and her beloved children and their families; Michelle Davis, Mary (Donald) Bourg, Lester “Bubba” (Carly) Andrews, Devin (Courtney) Andrews, and Michael (Brittany) Andrews. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Breanna Davis, Gavin Cenac, and Noah Bourg; brothers and sisters, Dorothy Treadaway, Norma Henry, Martha Walston, Howard Pitfield, Oliver Pitfield, James “Mike” Pitfield, and David Pitfield; in-laws, Leon (Kathleen) Andrews, Patricia (Joey) Mouton, and Stephanie (Brent) Melancon. She was blessed with her Godchild, Brett Melancon, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Preceding her in death were her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lester and Patricia Andrews; sister, Patricia (Patsy) Henry; infant brother, Michael Pitfield; brother-in-law, Frank Andrew, and son-in-law, Elroy Davis.

A visitation will be held in her honor Friday, December 10, 2021, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, West Park in Gray, LA. from 10:00 am until funeral time at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at St. Bridget Catholic cemetery.


The Andrews family would like to thank St. Joseph Hospice, nurses, Brad and Dorie for their excellent treatment during this difficult time.
