Lou Ann Duplantis, 82, a native of Chauvin and a resident of Houma, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 9, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin from 9:30 am until The Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am. Burial will follow in the church’s cemetery.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Curtis Duplantis; son, Dale Duplantis (Jeanette Dupree); daughter, Sheri Duplantis (Vernon Carrere); three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Herman Theriot (Judy); sister, Barbara Jean Duplantis; sister-in-law, Brenda Theriot; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her grand-puppies, Tucker, Fred, and Zeus Duplantis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Laura P. Loupe and Albert Theriot, Sr.; brother, Albert “A.J.” Theriot, Jr.; two infant sons; and brother-in-law, Philip Duplantis.
Lou Ann enjoyed needlework and embroidery, coloring, and getting her nails done, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
