Mae Mohana, age 102, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 4, 2021. Mae was a longtime resident of Houma.
Due to Covid and the protection of family and friends, the family ask for condolences to be submitted online at chauvinfuenralhome.com. Services will be held at a later date with burial to follow in St. Francis Cemetery No. 2.
Mae is survived by her daughter, Jean Giglio and husband Charles; son, Louis Mohana, Jr. and wife Jennifer; grandchildren, Celeste Giglio Collins, Christopher Giglio, Victoria Giglio, Tricia Mohana Summers, Joseph Mohana, Anne Mohana Watson, Katharine Mohana; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mae was preceded in death by her husband Louis Mohana, Sr.; parents, Leo Paul Trahan and Arianna Labit Trahan. Mae was also preceded in death by her seven siblings.
Mae was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family dearly and adored her grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing, live music, and decorating. She also loved tending to her garden in which she took great pride.
