Michael J. Stearns, 69, a native of DePue, IL and a resident of Houma, LA passed away on July 12, 2022.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Samart Funeral Home in Gray from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
He is survived by his companion, Elizabeth Thibodeaux; daughter, Leslie Stearns; step-sons, Frank Williams and Bryan Thibodeaux; grandchildren, Brennon, Brionnah, and Breadon Stearns; step-grandchildren, Meghan and Mercedes Williams, McKenzie and Mandy Menou, Kyler and Lakin Thibodeaux; and many extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughters, Lisa and Melissa Stearns; mother, Tranquilina Stearns; sister, Carmen Stearns; and nephew, Aaron Stearns.
Michael was a loving father, friend, and grandfather. He enjoyed his grandkids and spending time with his loved ones. Michael will forever be regarded as a good man and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and well-wishes during this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made towards the funeral expenses.
