She is survived by her sons, Randy Clement and Perry Burnett; daughters, Arlene Matherne and Lisa Chiasson; grandchildren, Ralph, Ryan, and Adam Clement, Rachel Ricard, Jeremy Naquin, Kasey and Laura Matherne, Brandon and Kerry Chiasson, and Erika Durocher; 18 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dorothy Gudger, Janis Pitre, Emile Robinson, Vicky Wingard, and Betty Songe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Junius and Laura Daigle Robertson; son, Jimmy Clement, Sr.; grandson, Jimmy “Pookie” Clement, Jr.; siblings, Shirley Arcement, Michael Robertson, and baby sister, Jane.

Nerva will forever be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a caregiver to her community, taking care of children and the elderly. When her mother passed away at a young age, Nerva didn’t hesitate to take on the role as a second mother to her younger siblings. Her main passion was helping others, even if they were a stranger. Nerva was devout to her church and to her faith. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Thibodaux Regional for their care and compassion. The family would also like to thank everyone for their prayers and well-wishes.
