Reginald “Raygene” Lewis, Sr., 64, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Baytown, TX, passed away peacefully at 10:56 a.m. on Thursday, November 26, 2020.
A public viewing will be conducted from 12:30 p.m. until funeral time at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Dularge Community Baptist Church, 549 Andrew Street in Houma. Burial will follow in the Celestine Garden of Memories Cemetery.
He is survived by his sons, Reggie and Reginald Lewis, Jr., Jamar and Joshua Lagarde; daughter, Onnea Lagarde; eleven grandchildren; brother, Emmett Lewis; companion, Ola Abraham; uncle, Moses Celestine (Gertrude); aunt, Afta-lee Celestine; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jody Lagarde; parents, James Lewis, Sr. and Helen Celestine; brother, James Lewis, Jr.; and sister, Joan Lewis; maternal grandparents, the Rev. Thomas and Nellie Ringo Celestine; paternal grandparents, Samuel and Helena Sears Lewis; maternal great grandparents, Robert Celestine and Bessie Creasy.
