Robert “Charlie” Trahan, a native and resident of Houma, La. entered his heavenly home on March 3, 2022, in the arms of his loving family.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Chauvin Funeral Home in the Magnolia Chapel from 5pm-9pm. Services will continue on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Chauvin Funeral Home in Magnolia Chapel with a Mass of Christian Burial starting at 10 AM with burial following in Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery #2 in Dulac, La.


Robert is survived by his only child, Stephanie Nicole Trahan; his brother, Philip Trahan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Sr. and Albertine Trahan and siblings, Edward “Puchin” Trahan, Anthony “Pookie” Trahan, Alvin Trahan, Sr., Walterine T. Pierre, and Marie Brunella Trahan Trosclair Taylor.

Charlie was well-known and will be remembered always for his huge heart, his caring personality, and his adoration for motorcycles and his 2013 SS Camaro. He leaves his daughter behind, who was his pride and joy. He loved and adored her more than anything in his life. He was a proud Native American and represented his culture with great pride. Charlie was an avid fisherman and talented artist of many mediums. He could make just about anything with the two hands his Lord blessed him with. He will be deeply and dearly missed by all those who had the privilege to know and love him.


Charlie’s two nieces, Debra Dupre and Wanda Trosclair, are recognized for their love, support, and care during his final ride. The family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thanks to Haydel Hospice for their care and kindness.
