Robin Sidney Bowie, age 64, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021. A beloved son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend. He was a native of Miami (& Panama City), FL and a resident of Houma, LA.

Robin is survived by his sons, Bradley J. Bowie (Keara) and Joshua J. Bowie; daughter, Signa B. Andino (Moises); brother, Thomas Bowie (Amy); sisters, Signa Bowie, and Iris B. Lee (Brian); sister-in-law, Mary Anne Bowie, and former spouse of over thirty years, Peggy Bowie. He is also survived by his four wonderful grandchildren, Kai Iyar, Isabella Andino, Caspian Andino, and Mina Bowie. They were his pride and joy! There are also a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family across the country.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Dawn Bowie; and brother, “Freddy”. As well as, his most cherished furry companion, Pugsley.

Robin moved to Louisiana at the very young age of 18, began making a living in the oil fields and growing a family. He loved all things family and worked hard to balance his new family in Louisiana and his birth family in Florida. He never met a stranger. Robin would do anything for the people he knew and loved! Most of his free time was spent with family and friends. He always enjoyed using his vast mechanical knowledge to fix “things” for others and providing a home cooked meal!

Robin had many passions. He enjoyed tinkering with small engines, fixing cars, cooking (Everything including the kitchen sink!), and was an avid reader/researcher of knowledge and history buff. In his early years, he loved body building, muscle cars, motorcycles, and wrestling. He was also a great collector of car models and movie/sports memorabilia. Always quick with a corny joke, he will be dearly missed by all whose hearts he touched.

Family will gather at a later date for private local ceremonies in Louisiana and Florida. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the charity of their choice in memory of Robin Bowie.

Chauvin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. is honored to serve the Bowie family.
