Boustany and Landry battle to represent Dist. 3

Dear Editor,

The Obama re-election debacle is notable for a number of things, like the historic, unprecedented appearance of massive voter fraud by the Democrats, all over the country. It is also notable for the near total silence from the Republican Establishment, the party’s so-called leadership. Over in our next-door neighbor, Florida, for instance, they have done almost nothing to support Congressman Lt. Col. Allen West in his fight to get all the votes counted in his new, gerrymandered district. The fraud appears obvious, but what is also obvious is that the Establishment wishes conservative, Tea Party-supported West would quietly disappear, and is doing what amounts to nothing to support his efforts to get an honest re-count of all the votes.

The Establishment Republicans are also working very hard with Obama, Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and the rest of the Marxist/neo-fascist Democrat “leaders” to do what they swore they would never do: raise taxes. Harry Reid, by the way, is the guy who just before the election said, “Mitt Romney’s fantasy that Senate Democrats will work with him to pass his ‘severely conservative’ agenda is laughable.” That the Republican Establishment would even consider working with an intractable neo-fascist like Reid says volumes about who these people are, and what they stand for.

All of which brings us back home, to the 3rd Congressional District of Louisiana. The 3rd is another one of these gerrymandered districts, set up in a way that took away a large chunk of conservative Congressman Jeff Landry’s district, and created one that gives a huge advantage to his opponent, Establishment-supported Charles Boustany. Boustany is a moderate Republican leader according to the non-partisan website GovTrack’s (http://www.govtrack.us/) analysis of bill sponsorship. And, according to the Times-Picayune:

“Both men have their strengths, with Boustany boasting a financial advantage and stronger ties to the national Republican leadership and Landry racking up invaluable endorsements from numerous top conservative groups.” While Washington special interests have poured over $1.5 million into Boustany’s campaign, “the support from the Republican establishment in his own state at least ensured the newly redrawn district would include most of his former area, ensuring more name recognition, leaving a smaller swath for Landry constituents (http://www.nola.com/politics/index.ssf/2012/11/district_three_race_boustany_w.html) .”

The article also points out that Boustany has “close ties” to Republican Establishment Congressional “leader,” John Boehner, a representative from Ohio who has not uttered a word regarding the apparent widespread voter fraud in his state.

I have been writing conservative political columns for the past 12 years, and I, too, heartily endorse Congressman Jeff Landry to represent the people, not the Republican Establishment, of the 3rd Congressional District of Louisiana.
