The nationally-ranked Nicholls State University football team will play its final home game in front of a televised audience.

The Southland Conference announced this week that Nicholls’ final home game, a Nov. 4 date with Houston Baptist, will be televised on Eleven Sports.

In order to accommodate the available TV block, the university announced that the opening kickoff for the game has been moved back 30 minutes from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Colonels, now up to No. 23 in the FCS Coaches Poll, will be looking to take momentum into that game with a date at Incarnate Word this weekend.

If Nicholls finishes the season strong, the team has a strong chance of making the FCS Playoffs for the first time in coach Tim Rebowe’s tenure.
