The Nicholls State University baseball team will host two baseball events this weekend – both at the Naturals Sports Complex in Schriever.
The Colonels will host a free baseball clinic at 10 a.m. on Saturday, which will focus on all aspects of the game. Nicholls coaches, players and staff will be on hand, running drills and coaching the campers. All ages are welcome and groups will be separated by age. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.
On Sunday will be the Bobby Dickerson Infield Camp. It will begin at 1 p.m.
Dickerson camp participants will learn advanced fielding and throwing techniques. Campers will also take part in infield-specific advanced footwork, glove-work and reaction training from Dickerson, who is a member of the Nicholls Hall of Fame and is the infield and third-base coach for the Philadelphia Phillies.
Cost to register for that event is $100.
