E.D. White Cardinals

The E.D. White cross country teams soared yesterday, scoring easy team titles at the parish Cross Country Meet.

The Cardinals and Lady Cardinals both won the titles, dominating the Top 10 in both races to easily secure victory.

On the girls' side, E.D. White had 9 of 10 finishers in the Top 10 of the race, led by Abbey Marie Ratcliff, who secured the individual title with a time of 20:25.80.

South Lafourche senior Makayla Bynum was the runner-up in the race - the only non-Lady Cardinal in the Top 10.

The rest was all E.D. White with Sydney Siegel, Olivia Kliebert and Emmy Wong rounding out the Top 5.

The only other team to compete in the team championships in the girls' race was Central Lafourche. They were led by Elise Pitre and Kaydi Manning, who placed 11th and 12th, respectively.

On the boys' side, the Cardinals had to work a little, but still used strength in numbers to easily secure a win.

Thibodaux High's Luke Sweatman won the individual title with a time of 16:29.23. Central Lafourche's Gabriel Hodson placed third.

But the rest of the Top 7 was all Cardinals, led by Braedon Methvin, who finished 2nd. Also in the Top 7 for E.D. White were Reece Shelby (4th), Owen Tauzin (5th), Layne Cortez (6th) and Carson Babin (7th).
