South Terrebonne has announced Danielle Henry as its new volleyball coach.

The Gators announced the hire on their school Facebook page on Monday morning, giving an official “Welcome to the Swamp” to the new faculty member and coach.

Henry graduated from Terrebonne in 2010 where she was a standout player for the Lady Tigers. She then went to Nicholls and earned her bachelor’s degree and got into coaching.

Last year, she was an assistant coach with the Lady Gators, one of the top teams in the area.

This year, she will take over the program, adding that she’s excited for the opportunity to share her love for the sport with others.

“I am excited about being a part of the Gator community,” she said. “I was welcomed in last year as an assistant coach, and I am looking forward to taking on a bigger role this year. I am also looking forward to getting to know the students, faculty, and staff.”
