June 11, 2008• The Vandebilt Catholic softball team and Team Outlaws will host a pitching clinic Thursday, June 12, from 9 a.m. to noon, for girls ages 8 and older. Registration is scheduled for 8:15 a.m. on Thursday. The cost is $50.
The clinic will be coached by James Spearman and Team Outlaws pitchers Lacey Gros (Nicholls State), Lauren Crane (Spring Hill College), Lauren Martinez (Nicholls State) and Megan Price (Oskaloosa-Fort Walton College).
• The Terrebonne Parish Recreation Department is accepting registration for its ladies basketball program from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays until Friday at 126 Boundary Road in Houma. The fee is $250 per team, or $300 if the department buys team jerseys. For more information, call (985) 873-6584.
• Terrebonne High baseball coach John Gatlin will hold a one-day baseball camp Saturday, June 14, at the Dularge Baseball Complex, 621 Bayou Dularge Road, in Houma. Camp time is 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch is included.

• E.D. White Catholic baseball coach Shane Trosclair hosts the Cardinal Baseball Camp at E.D. White June 16-18. The camp is for kids’ age’s 7-14-years old and runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. • The Lockport Biddy Basketball organization will hold a meeting June 22 at 7 p.m. in the Lockport Town Hall to elect new board members for the upcoming 2008-2009 season.
• Ellender Memorial boys’ basketball coach Scott Gauthreaux will hold two Skills and Drills Basket Camp sessions.
The first class will be June 16-20 at Thibodaux High School; the second is scheduled for June 23-27 at Lisa Park Elementary School. Camp times are 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. daily. Sessions are open to boys and girls from kindergarten to ninth grade. The cost is $70 per camper or $125 for two campers, and includes a basketball, T-shirt and snacks.

• E.D. White Catholic boys’ soccer coach Roger Bimah is holding a goalkeeper camp July 7-11 on the soccer fields between East and West Thibodaux middle schools. The registration deadline is July 7. Campers’ ages 10 on up are eligible to participate.
The camp is limited to 10 participants. Camp fee is $65 before or $75 after the deadline. Camp time is 6 to 8 p.m. each day.
