September 16, 2010Oct. 11 – Hooters of Houma is putting on its first-ever golf tournament at LaTour Golf Club in Mathews. Proceeds for the event will benefit Voice of the Wetlands. It will have a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The format is a four-person scramble, and the cost is $125 per player. Call (985) 262-0801.

Nov. 5 – The 2nd Annual Bayou Country Children’s Museum Golf Tournament takes place at the Atchafalaya Golf Course in Patterson, and proceeds will benefit Bayou Country Children’s Museum. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. and breakfast for the event will be provided by Chick-fil-a. The tournament format is a four-person scramble with a shotgun start. Dec. 4 – The 21st Annual Bowl for Breath in Houma holds “Strike Out Cystic Fibrosis” at Creole Lanes. Last year’s event raised more than $32,000 for CF research. The event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Contact the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at (504) 455-5194.
