Oct. 31 – State Farm is holding the “Kicking it 2010 Sweepstakes.” The person who will win the sweepstakes will receive an all-expenses paid trip for two to the 2010 Bayou Classic between Southern and Grambling, as well as tickets to the Battle of the Bands. Nov. 5 – The 2nd Annual Bayou Country Children’s Museum Golf Tournament. The event will take place at the Atchafalaya Golf Course in Patterson, and proceeds will go to the Bayou Country Children’s Museum. Registration will take place at 7 a.m. and breakfast for the event will be provided by Chick-fil-a. The tournament format is a four person scramble with a shotgun start. Dec. 4 – The 21st Annual Bowl for Breath in Houma. Come out to Creole Lanes and “Strike Out Cystic Fibrosis.” The event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Anyone with questions about the event is asked to contact the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at (504) 455-5194.
