After a dominant junior season, LSU junior forward Theresa Plaisance was honored for her accomplishments this week.

The former Vandebilt Catholic star was named First Team All-SEC this week – the only Lady Tiger to be honored in that regard.

In addition to the conference-wide award, Plaisance was also named to the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association’s All-Region Team.

Plaisance earned her mark after a breakout 2012-13 season.

The 6-foot, 5-inch post player averaged 17.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game to lead the Lady Tigers into the NCAA Tournament.

Plaisance also recorded 82 blocks for the year and shot 44.7 percent from the field.

She ranked in the Top 5 in the SEC in each statistical category.

In addition to the dominant statistical season, Plaisance has been consistent in her play.

Plaisance led the conference with 11 games with 20 or more points.

She scored 10 or more points in 30-straight games – a streak that dates back to November.

Plaisance wasn’t the only Lady Tiger to get recognition.

Senior guard Adrienne Webb was named Honorable Mention All-SEC.
