Nicholls to take on Southeastern in River Bell Classic

The No. 18 Nicholls State University football team will battle No. 23 Southeastern Louisiana at John L. Guidry Stadium in Thibodaux for the annual River Bell Classic this Saturday.

The Colonels are 4-2 overall and 3-2 in Southland Conference play this season. The Lions are 3-2 overall and 3-2 in SLC play.

Four of the last five matchups were nail-biters. In last season’s game, The Colonels secured the win after a late-game 57-yard touchdown pass with 90 seconds left on the clock and a goal-line stop.

Nicholls is ahead in the all-time series 15-14.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. for tomorrow’s game.
