Sports:

Soccer

Best thing about soccer:

The best thing about soccer to me is that I get to be part of a team playing the game that I love.

Best soccer moment:

My best soccer moment was when I bent a corner kick into the goal my first year of varsity as a freshman.

Favorite soccer player:

That would have to be Lionel Messi, of Argentina and Barcelona.

Favorite team to play against?

Thibodaux High School

Why?

I enjoy playing them because their coach is my coach for travel soccer with Thibodaux United.

Best advice a coach ever gave you:

“Play your heart out every time you step on a field. It doesn’t matter if you win or lose, just have fun playing the sport you love.”

Favorite food:

Either jambalaya or pizza.

It’s midnight: What’s your go-to snack?

Goldfish crackers

Favorite movie:

‘She’s the Man’

Future plans:

I want to attend LSU to play soccer, and also study to be a veterinarian.

Credentials:

H.L. Bourgeois standout Laresah Gros is a heck of a soccer player. And she still has three years to compete at the varsity level. As a freshman, Gros was a major contributor for the Lady Braves, while serving as an attacking midfielder. The Lady Braves’ standout said she’s been playing the sport since she was 7, touting that she has a very clear dream – to be a college athlete. Once away from the soccer cleats, Gros said she wants to become a veterinarian – another goal that she said she’s had ever since she’s been a young child.
