Vandebilt Catholic standout Cassidy Barrios is one of the best women’s basketball players in our area. And that’s good news to Nicholls State University women’s basketball coach DoBee Plaisance, because Barrios is calling the Colonels’ program home for the next four years. The Vandebilt Catholic guard signed her scholarship with the Colonels a few weeks ago and has since been off to a great start to her senior season. Off the floor, Cassidy is a twin. Her brother Payton Barrios is also a standout athlete for the Terriers.
