The Times Player of the Week – Evan Louviere

How old are you?

I’m 8 years old.

What school do you go to and what grade are you in?

I go to Cut Off Elementary School and I am in the third grade.

Why do you love basketball so much?

It’s a fun sport. I love running around, dribbling, passing and shooting the ball with my friends and my teammates.

Who is your favorite player?

That’s easy. I love Anthony Davis. He’s always made a big impression on me ever since he’s been with the New Orleans Pelicans.

What do you think about AD’s unibrow?

I think it’s perfect. I’d go ahead and say that it’s very, very nice.

Favorite song:

I’d say that I like “Hall of Fame” (by the Script). That song always fires me up.

Favorite movie:

The Lego Movie has been my favorite so far.

Favorite cartoon character:

Umm. That is a hard one. I’ve always loved SpongeBob SquarePants.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

When I get big, I want to be a superstar NBA basketball player who plays for the New Orleans Pelicans.

What’s your favorite thing to do on the basketball court?

Shooting and dribbling would probably be my two favorite things to do. I like to play defense, as well.

Goal for the 2014 basketball season:

I’d love to make a 3-pointer during one of our regular season games. That would be my biggest goal.

Team:

I play for the Heels in 7-and-8 basketball within South Lafourche Biddy Basketball.
