The South Louisiana Center for the Arts summer production of Disney’s Aladdin Jr. runs May 3-5 by special arrangement with Music Theatre International.

More than 30 area youngsters are presenting the musical version of the classic tale of a young man and his magical lamp. The production features the music of Alan Menken and lyrics of Howard Ashman and Tim Rice.

Director Pat Hornsby Crochet and assistant James Dillon Hughes oversee the children’s theatrical production.

Performances are scheduled at Terrebonne High School’s auditorium at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 3, and Saturday, May 4. A 2 p.m. Sunday matinee is also on tap.

Tickets are $7 for children and $10 for adults, and will be sold at the door.
