0: With Central Lafourche’s loss to H.L. Bourgeois, there are now no undefeated teams in the Houma-Thibodaux area. We currently have five one-loss teams – the Trojans, Thibodaux, CCA, Vandebilt and Ellender.

1,000: Vandebilt’s game with Newman wasn’t one for the defensive-minded fan. The Terriers and Greenies combined for 87 points and more than 1,000 yards of total offense – a game Vandebilt won in the final minutes. That was a big-time win for Jeremy Atwell’s bunch.

69: Ellender’s offense has scored 69 combined points in the last two weeks – both close, hard-fought road victories. What’s perhaps most impressive about the Patriots’ output is that in comes in all phases. They easily lead the area in special teams touchdowns on the season.

79: South Lafourche thought it was going to go to halftime with momentum on Friday night against Plaquemine. After scoring a touchdown to cut the Green Devils lead to 17-13 right before half, Plaquemine got a one-play touchdown drive on a 79-yard halfback pass for a score.
