165: South Lafourche quarterback Jaydon Cheramie had his best game of the season on Friday night against Morgan City, completing 11 passes for 165 yards and two touchdowns. Cheramie also rushed for two scores in the season win.

400+: After struggling through the jamboree and the first two weeks of the season, the Thibodaux rushing attack is now dominant. The Tigers rushed for more than 400 yards against Central Lafourche on Friday, led by four touchdowns from Donnell Adair.

1: E.D. White led Thomas Jefferson by a touchdown late in Saturday afternoon’s non-district game. The Jaguars scored a late touchdown to trim a 21-14 lead to 21-20. But instead of kicking the extra point, Thomas Jefferson went for two – a play E.D. White stopped one-yard short of the end zone.

12.5: The H.L. Bourgeois defense has been one of the best statistical groups in Class 5A so far this season. Through six games, the Braves allowed just 12.5 points, including a shutout victory over Westgate on Thursday night.

3: The Vandebilt Catholic defense forced three turnovers in Thursday night’s win over South Terrebonne – takeaways that led to Vandebilt points. The Terriers improved to 2-4 in the thorough victory over their in-district rival.
