Dorothy “Dot” Matthews Sevier, 85, a native of Breaux Bridge, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 7:10 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2015.
Mrs. Sevier is survived by her, husband of 63 years, Victor Henry Sevier Jr.; children, Dr. Victor Sevier III, Sarah (Gene Jr.) Chauvin, Dorothy Fontenot and Matthew (Jill) Sevier; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today, March 18, at Chauvin Funeral Home, and 9 a.m. to funeral time tomorrow, March 19, at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
