Early voting for the October gubernatorial primary begins on Saturday, Oct. 10 and continues until the following Saturday, Oct. 17, throughout Louisiana. Any voter who wishes to avoid the lines of Election Day can vote early.

Voters must bring a photo ID or a signed voter affidavit. Voters may use a driver’s license, a Louisiana special ID or some other generally recognized picture ID that has your name and signature.

Early voting hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.


Voters in Lafourche Parish may vote at one of the following two locations:

• 307 W. 4th St., Thibodaux

• 16241 E. Main St., Suite B-23, Galliano


Voters in Terrebonne Parish may vote at the following location:

• 8026 Main Street, suite 101, Houma

Voters in Lafourche Parish who have questions can call their Registrar of Voter’s office at 447-3256.


Voters in Terrebonne Parish who have questions can call their Registrar of Voter’s office at 873-6533.

This early voting period is for the Oct. 24 gubernatorial primary election that will decide multiple municipal, parish and state races.
