Gary “Mickey” Grayson McCann, 85, a native of Baton Rouge, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died at 10:40 a.m. on September 24, 2017.
Mr. McCann was a professor, tennis coach and head of the foreign language department at Nicholls State University. He served in the United States Army. He enjoyed tennis, cooking, fishing, gardening and LSU sports.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marian Taylor McCann; son, Michael McCann; and daughters, Kaye McCann and Melinda (Bryan) McFarland.
Burial is at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.
