Genevieve Renee Whitney Darsey, age 88, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018. She was a native and resident of Houma. L.A.
Genevieve is survived by her sons, Charles Jr. and wife, Jill, Daniel and wife, Winnie, Mark and wife, Peggy, Paul and wife, Rhonda, and Brian and wife, Bridget; daughters, Joan Lyon and husband, Dave, Ann Smith and husband, Terry, Renee Broussard and husband, Donald, Kathleen Mooring and husband, Billy, Jean Traigle and husband, Richard, and Julie Keese and husband, Bronson; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.
Genevieve was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Special thanks to the staff of Journey Hospice, Nurse Amie Chauvin, and caregivers Co Burel, Tina Fry, Josephine Hart and Lashawn Triggs.
