King of the Swamp: ZZ returns home; happy for experience

Joseph “J.C.” Charles Martin, 79, a native of Bayou Blue, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 24, 2015.
Mr. Martin was the owner and operator of Consolidated Truck Salvage for 54 years. He was also a past King of Krewe of Terranians and Krewe of Hyacinthians; a founding member and Past Master of Terrebonne Fellowship Lodge #481,32nd Degree Mason; Past President of Houma Shrine Club; and Past Monarch of Ka Jon Grotto.
Mr. Martin is survived by his sons, Jody (Christi) Martin and Jonathan (Laura) Martin; daughter, Jill (Brian) Barnhill; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
