Larry “Peg” Joseph Freeman, Sr., age 95, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was a longtime resident of Houma.


Larry is survived by his children, Larry J. Freeman, Jr., Carla Jane Freeman and Companion Chris Wells, Tamela “Tammy” Freeman, Jenny Freeman Grasso, Thomas Freeman, Sr. and wife, Connie; grandchildren Angie Freeman, Brittney Lottinger, Gretchen Moore, Jenny Moore, Chriasie Moore, Ashley Lottinger, Philip “Doobie” Lottinger Jr. and wife, Joni, Charles “CJ.” Grasso III, Thomas T.J.” Freeman Jr., Kimberly Grasso, and Evan Freeman; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Rose Freeman, Theresa DuBois and Antoinette Morgan; and sister-in-law, Rhea Freeman; be is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was a devoted Catholic and Parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Larry “Peg” and Beverly were the former owners of Peg’s Food Mart, and Falgout Canal Marina “The Landing”. He enjoyed dancing with his wife Beverly. Peg also enjoyed gardening, hunting, and fishing at the camp. Peg’s wife Beverly passed away five months ago. He has now joined her into their eternal home and rests in the arms of their Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Haydel Memorial Hospice, and all the caregivers who loved and cared for Peg; especially Antae Barthelemy.
