The Manning Passing Academy will have a few new players on the field this year. Entering into its 22rd year, the Academy will launch its Inaugural MPA Football Clinic & Camp for Women and Girls on June 25-28 on the campus of Nicholls State University.

This is a historic moment for both the MRA and for the women and girls who want to play, learn and coach the great game of football,” said Archie Manning, who alone with sons Cooper. Peyton and Eli, are the namesakes of the Annual Passing Academy. “Our camp director brought the concept to our family from a conversation he had with two former National Football League female staff members. We love the progressive idea and said “Why wait ?” and moved forward to set the date.”

The MPA Football Clinic & Camp for Women & Girls is open to women of all ages and girls in grades 8 through 12. The camp begins on Monday. June 25, a day after the conclusion of the traditional M PA camp for boys, and finishes on Tuesday, June 26. TWs year’s format revolves around a speaker’s clinic and an interactive camp.

The Manning family wants to provide women and girls the same inclusive opportunity to learn the game from the inside out. with a greater understanding of the fundamentals, techniques, and basics of football –all in a fun, safe, non-contact environment.

“We will introduce the participants to the Insights and intricacies of every offensive and defensive position (including punting and placekicking). And there is no greater game than football to teach the benefits of teamwork” added Jeff Hawkins, MPA Camp Director. * We’ll embrace the same fundamental philosophy so that the participants can come together physically and emotionally to compete on the field, coach tern the sidelines or simply comprehend the game as a spectator.”

Portions of the proceeds from camp will benefit Girls on the Run, a national nonprofit organization that uses running and other physical activities as a platform for teaching life skills and promoting holistic outcomes in girls.
