Louby Joseph Ledet, 91, a native of Pointe-Aux-Chenes, La., and resident of Montegut, La., died at 6:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016.


Mr. Ledet was a United States Navy World War II veteran and a past commander of the American Legion, Member of VFW. He was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church. He loved hunting, fishing, cutting grass and being with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Joyce Dupre Ledet; sons, Mark (Yvonne), Steve (Shana), Louis (Jennifer) and Jeff (Melinda) Ledet; daughters, Maria (Andy) Dupre, Yvette (Gerald) Blanchard and Stephanie (Mike) Trahan; sister, Della Rougeau; 22 grandchildren and 11 step-great-grand-children; 22 great-grandchildren and 25 step-great-grand-children.

Burial is at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Montegut.
