Marjorie Verrett Barker, 77, a native of Morgan City, La., and resident of Lockport, La., died on Monday, February 20, 2017.
Mrs. Barker was a former faculty member of Lockport Junior High School, past president of the Lafourche Heritage Society, co-founder of the Bayou Lafourche Folklife and Heritage Museum, a member of the Holy Savior fundraising committee and was involved in multiple musical endeavors.
She is survived by her sons, Edward III (Sunnie) and Eric (Christine) Barker; sister, Rose Hardy; brother, Bill Verrett; and two grandchildren.
Burial is at a later date.
