PREP FOOTBALL

VANDEBILT CATHOLIC

QUARTERBACK

Name: David Yancey

Height: 5’11

Weight: 160

Grade: I’m a senior at Vandebilt Catholic High School.

Sports played: I’m a returning starter for the Vandebilt Catholic football team.

Fun Fact: I am also an All-District baseball player for my school. Baseball is one of my favorite sports.

Biggest improvements this offseason: I worked hard on all aspects of my game. I really wanted to make sure that I came into the 2015 season more focused and ready to have the best season that I could possibly have for our team.

Goals for the 2015 season: We want to continue to get better each week. If we progress and clean up some of our mistakes, we know that we have a team that can do really good things.

What does his coach say: “David is a guy that we’re really comfortable with. He’s got experience and he’s a leader for our team. We know that we can trust him to lead our offense and make plays for our team. He won’t ever be in a position where the moment is too big for him. He stays poised, and that’s why we trust him on the field.”

Credentials: Vandebilt Catholic quarterback David Yancey is a really good player. A multi-year starter for the Terriers, Yancey is a game manager who helps Vandebilt’s offense thrive. When not on the football gridiron, Yancey is also a standout baseball player for Vandebilt – a player who was named to the All-District team in the 2015 season.
