Grade: I’m a second grader right now, but school is over, so I am going to the third grade.
Sports played: DJ is a man of many hats. He’s a member of Biddy Basketball, AAU Basketball and youth baseball. He also is an avid racer when he has free time to get on the racetrack.
Favorite thing about basketball
Playing with my teammates and playing defense.
Best sporting achievement:
DJ was named to the All-Star team during his first season at the 7-8 age group. His regular season team, dubbed ‘New Day’, went undefeated and DJ was one of the team’s top performers and leading scorers.
What would you like to be when you grow up? I want to be an athlete.
Hidden talent very few know: I like to chase chickens.
Did you know? As a dragster, DJ won a Wally — the most prestigious trophy that there is in the National Hot Rod Association.
Credentials: Galliano native Dustan “DJ” Adams Jr. does a little bit of everything. Which is quite impressive considering that he only turned 8 years old just this week. Adams is a standout basketball and baseball player who competes locally throughout several local youth leagues. DJ is also a drag racer who has countless trophies in his young career — even while often competing up in age, racing against kids far older than his young age. DJ is the son of Dustan and Leah Adams.
