February 24, 2017The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office will hold Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) courses from March 27-29 at The Learning Center at Lady of the Sea General Hospital in Galliano.
The self-defense course is designed exclusively for women and will take place during each of the listed dates.
The courses begin at 6 p.m. and end at about 9:30 p.m. each day.
A participant must attend all three classes to get certified.
Cost to attend is $10, and that covers one’s course materials.
To participate, those interested are asked to visit the LPSO website at www.lpso.net.
Payment can be made through the online signup form, though LPSO says that the fee is non-refundable if one fails to show up to the course.
