Swamp tour legend "Black" Guidry dies

Rene Boniface Ghirardi, 75, a native of Morgan City, La., and resident of Houma, La., died on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. Mr. Ghirardi worked in advertising before going into private business. He was a lifelong reader and studied fine art and painted after retirement. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Theriot Ghirardi; daughter, Gina (Alan) Wier; sons, Kevin and Patrick Ghirardi and Michael Roper; sister, Linda (Lucky) Derise; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Interment is at St. Francis de Sales No. 2 Cemetery in Houma. (Samart)
