Rose Thomas Hatcher, 92, a native of Raceland, Louisiana, and resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015.

Mrs. Hatcher was a former member of Bell Baptist Church in Raceland, and was a self-employed seamstress and home interior decorator. She was a volunteer senior companion for the Council on Aging and for the Alliance for Affordable Energy, teaching seniors how to conserve energy. She completed the Louisiana State University Health Care Science Center Certification Program, and was a member of the Eastern Stars. She also attended Central City Senior Program.

Mrs. Hatcher is survived by sons Irving W. (Sylvia) Hatcher, Jr. and Gerald Hatcher; daughter, Earline E. Roth, five grandchildren; and two-generations of great-grandchildren.
