Terrebonne General Medical Center has named Megan Kelly, an honors surgery nurse, as its September Employee of the Month.
Kelly has been a TGMC employee for the past seven years. She works as a nurse circulator in the surgery department assisting with complex cardiovascular cases, as well as procedures in the Hybrid OR.
TGMC names an Employee of the Month monthly to those who demonstrate outstanding and constant commitment to the well-beling of patients, their extended families and also to staff.
Kelly earned the honor by her coworkers for her proactive work ethic and dedication to patients and coworkers.
She routinely extends shifts to not disrupt a procedure and her exceptional clinical skills are noticed by all around her.
“TGMC has been a part of my life since becoming a nurse working as an extern here,” Kelly said. “The people I work with have become a second family to me and make work easy to do. Helping and caring for people has always been something that comes naturally for me and working with my ‘family’ makes it all the more enjoyable.”
