A Thibodaux High School student was arrested this weekend after allegedly threatening students, saying that he would bring a gun to school.


Just before 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, deputies responded to a complaint of harassment. Through investigation, deputies learned that several students – boys and girls – had been receiving messages from Cameron Boudreaux. In the messages, Boudreaux allegedly threatened to kill a cane of the students during the course of the messaging. He also said that he would bring a gun to school to kill them.

Authorities made contact with Boudreaux and arrested trim-He was charged with Cyberstalking. Bond was set at $10,000.

Authorities say the case remains under investigation.


Lafourche Schools Superintendent Dr. Louis Voiron said that extra security measures will be in place beginning on Monday morning at Thibodaux High School.
