Vickie “Lynnie” Pierre Hotard, age 54, passed away surrounded by her loving family. Lynnie had transitioned from this world to be with her Lord and Savior Sept. 11, 2018. Her beautiful personality will always be remembered by all who knew her. She was a native of Houma and resident of Dulac.

Lynnie is survived by her husband of 34 years, Emile Hotard Jr.; daughters, Courtney Pennison and Whitney Moore and husband Trent; grandpup, Ace; brothers, Ricky Pierre and Kemble Pierre; step-brother, James Parfait Jr.; step-sister, Angie Lapeyrouse; and step-mother, Clara Pierre Parfait.

Lynnie was a beautiful woman who loved her family dearly. Lynnie was full of love and had a great compassion for teaching, she was fun, young at heart and had a great personality. Lynnie taught at Grand Caillou Elementary School for 33 years until her unfortunate illness. Lynnie loved spending time with her family and friends but most of all cherished her marriage to her husband, Emile. Lynnie was a hard worker and fought through her cancer till the end. She was very brave and had a strong spirit.

2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.”

The Hotard family would like to thank Mary Bird Perkins and M.D. Anderson for their medical expertise and care. They would also like to thank Journey Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Lynnie.
