Terrebonne Parish knows brown water caused by a sediment stir related to a system improvement is causing concerns.

But recognizing the crucial role credibility and trust play in water supply, he knew those concerns needed to be addressed with more than words.


“I’m willing to put my mouth where my water is,” said Sorbert, responding to comments Times readers made.

The Times visited Sorbert at his office, where bottles of the brown water collected over the past day are stored. Sorbert, while acknowledging the yucky look of the H2O, allowed video to be taken of his feat.
